Customer Services Newsletter

Summer 2008

We would like to say how great it was to see so many of you at our customer Conference back in May. We all had a great time, and looking back at the photos and your feedback the Conference was enjoyed by many. The Databox and ProVenueMax sessions carried out by Customer Services staff were well appreciated. It was also great to have the opportunity to meet many of you in the lab where we could demonstrate new functions available in our products and answer questions.

Sadly the rain which fell on our Conference has persisted for much of the summer so far. We hope that business with you has been brighter than the weather. We have been busy in Customer Services with new installations and plenty of bespoke training. Below you will find some news items from the Customer Services Department and a listing of our Autumn training courses.

Support News and Product updates

Many of you may know that the Tickets.com Support department is accredited with the Help Desk Institute. This body sets down standards of excellence for the IT Support industry. The accreditation process audits our performance against these standards to ensure that we continue to try to maintain and improve our Support service. We currently have a 3 star accreditation with a score of 3.62 out of 4, this is scored annually following a 4 day audit. This covers areas such as Leadership, People, Partnerships and Resources, Process, Customer Results and Performance Results.

Service Desk Institute LogoThe Help Desk Institute has recently renamed itself to the Service Desk Institute in order to keep up with changes in the industry and the term Service desk now being preferred among professionals.

As part of our continued efforts to provide a high level of Support service Tickets.com have initiated a project of global Support optimisation headed from our UK office by Andy Buckland (Global Director of Software Support). The aim is to provide an excellent Support service worldwide. We are now in the process of implementing a new piece of software called Service now. This software is based closely on the ITIL principles. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a framework which defines best practice processes for IT service management including the way that teams within an organisation integrate and how standards are set and managed in order to allow the operation to meet Service Level requirements.

We hope that the introduction of this new call logging system and of the processes that will accompany it will allow Tickets.com to provide an even better service to you.

Databox and PVM upgrades:

We have made good headway in getting all our PVM customers up to version 6.3.1. We do still have a number to upgrade. If your system has not been upgraded then please contact Support to organise a date for the upgrade.

Databox customers should upgrade to ProVenueDatabox version 1.6. This version is fully PCI compliant with credit card number encryption. You should therefore look to upgrade as soon as possible if you havent already. All Databox upgrades are available to download from www.provenue.net. Customers using the Comms XL credit card solution should however talk to our sales department first as this is not compatible with ProVenueDatabox. ProVenueDatabox version 1.7 will be available in August so look out for this shortly on ProVenueNet.

New Service Level Agreement

Tickets.com has drawn up a new Service Level Agreement which has been sent out to all customers. We hope that this will clear up some confusion over which support services are offered when, and also standardise our service across the different products that we support. We have tried to provide the services which we believe our customers require at the times they require them. Please sign and return your agreement as soon as possible. If you have any queries about it then please speak to a member of our Sales department.
